Canfield's — Privacy Policy
Effective September 3, 2026 · updated September 7, 2026
The short version
Canfield's collects no data. The app has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, no third-party SDKs, and no servers of ours. Nothing you do in the app is transmitted to us — your play stays on your device or inside your own Apple services, as described below.
Game Center
If you use Game Center features (leaderboards, achievements), your Game Center identity and submitted scores are handled entirely by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. We never receive them.
iCloud
Your game records (The Books) sync between your devices through iCloud Key-Value Storage, stored under your own Apple Account. We have no access to your iCloud data.
Purchases
In-app purchases are processed by Apple. We never see your payment information.
Photos
If you save a share card image, the app uses add-only Photos access: it can add that one image to your library and cannot read anything in it.
How long it is kept, and how to delete it
We hold nothing, so there is nothing for us to keep or delete. Everything the game records lives in one of three places, and each is deleted differently:
On your device. Your saved run, your records (The Books), your settings and your Membership state are files in the app's own container. They are kept until you delete them. Deleting the app deletes all of it, and there is no copy of it anywhere else that we can reach.
In your iCloud. If iCloud Drive is on for Canfield's, The Books are mirrored to your Apple Account's iCloud Key-Value Storage so your devices agree. Apple keeps that data under your account, not ours. Deleting the app does not automatically remove it: to erase it, turn off iCloud for Canfield's in Settings, or use Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage. It is also removed when you delete your Apple Account.
In Game Center. Leaderboard scores and achievements belong to your Game Center profile and are held by Apple for as long as that profile exists. Deleting the app does not remove them. You can reset them yourself in Settings → Game Center, and Apple's own privacy tools cover the rest.
Purchases. Apple keeps the purchase record so that Restore Purchases can work. We never see it, and we cannot delete it; Apple's purchase and refund policies govern it.
There is no account to close and no consent to withdraw, because we never collect anything to begin with. If you want help removing any of the above, write to us at the address below and we will walk you through it.
